Turkish Airlines delay: the €600 rule that now covers delays
Türkiye’s passenger-rights regulation (SHY-PASSENGER) was amended in December 2024 to add delay compensation. A flight departing Türkiye (any airline) that arrives three hours or more late can owe €250/€400/€600 by distance — euro-denominated, paid in Turkish lira — with the same “extraordinary circumstances” logic as the EU: a technical fault or crew shortage is not an excuse.
