Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what this is. SkyDebt ("SkyDebt," "we," "us") is a self-help document-preparation and legal-information service operated as a sole proprietorship in Los Angeles, California. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and SkyDebt covering your use of this website and anything you purchase on it. By using the site or buying a claim pack, you agree to these Terms.
2. What SkyDebt is not. SkyDebt is not a law firm. We are not your attorney, and no attorney–client relationship is created by using this service. Nothing on this site — including eligibility checks, estimated amounts, generated documents, and answers to questions — is legal advice. It is general legal information and document preparation based on the details you provide. Laws change and individual situations differ; for advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
3. What you're buying. A claim pack is a one-time digital purchase covering a single flight incident. It includes documents generated from your inputs (such as a demand letter, a regulator escalation letter, and a response playbook) and the ability to regenerate documents and generate counter-letters for that same incident for 45 days from purchase. Delivery is instant and digital. Prices are shown at checkout; payment is processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms.
4. Your responsibilities. You are responsible for: (a) the accuracy and truthfulness of every detail you enter — the documents are only as valid as your inputs; (b) reviewing the documents before use; (c) sending them yourself and conducting your own claim; and (d) meeting any deadlines that apply to your claim. You certify that the facts you submit are true to the best of your knowledge and that you will not use SkyDebt to pursue a claim you know to be false. Submitting knowingly false claims to an airline or regulator may be unlawful; you bear sole responsibility for the claims you choose to make.
5. What we don't promise. Compensation figures shown by SkyDebt describe statutory entitlements as we understand them on the effective date above. Airlines may dispute claims, assert defenses (such as extraordinary circumstances), or fail to respond. We do not guarantee any outcome, payment, response, or timeline. Where a legal regime is marked as pending verification, we do not generate documents for it and you will not be charged for it.
6. Estimates and currency. Dollar figures marked "≈" are approximate conversions of amounts denominated in other currencies, provided for convenience. The statutory amount in the statutory currency controls, and generated documents claim in that currency.
7. Your money stays yours. SkyDebt charges a flat fee for documents. We take no commission, no contingency, and no share of any compensation. Airlines pay you directly; we never receive, hold, or collect funds on your behalf, and we are not a debt-collection service.
8. License and intellectual property. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the documents generated for your incident for your own claim. The site, its content, templates, design, and software remain ours. You retain your own information. You may not resell, scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract the service or its outputs, or use the service to build a competing document set.
9. Acceptable use. You must be at least 18. You may not use the service to submit false claims, to harass, to violate any law, to probe or disrupt the service, or to submit content you have no right to submit. We may refuse or revoke service for abuse; if we revoke a paid, unused purchase for reasons other than your breach, we will refund it.
10. Refunds. Our Refund Policy at /refunds is part of these Terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties. The service and all documents are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkyDebt's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the purchase giving rise to the claim; and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost claims, or missed deadlines, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations; where such laws apply to you, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
13. Indemnity. You will indemnify and hold SkyDebt harmless from claims and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or false information you submit.
14. Third-party services. Payments are processed by Stripe; flight data may be provided by third-party aviation data services; optional document phrasing may be assisted by an AI service provider as described in our Privacy Policy. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
15. Disputes; governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at the support address below and give us 30 days to work it out informally. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court. Any other dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and both parties consent to that venue. Nothing in this section prevents consumers in other jurisdictions from relying on mandatory protections of their home country where those apply by law.
16. Changes; the rest. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date; changes apply going forward. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms plus the Privacy and Refund Policies are the entire agreement between us. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it in connection with a transfer of the business.
